 Spinach is a good source of vitamin A, and folate vitamin K, vitamin C, magnesium, iron, and vitamin B2. It is difficult to find vegetables rich in vitamin k than spinach. To lose weight you need to take a small number of calories and you know that 1 cup of spinach has only 7 calories. Insoluble fibers in spinach help to lose weight and keep calories in control.

Healthy spinach recipes for weight loss

1-Chickpea and spinach Salad

Ingredients

1/4 cup white onion

1/3 cup boiled chickpeas

1/4 cup spring onions

1 oz feta cheese

pinch chili powder

1 tsp lemon juice

salt and black pepper

1 cup baby spinach


Directions 

 

Step1: Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl, and toss well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

2-Spicy Chickpeas with Spinach

Ingredients

400g tin chickpeas, drained

1 onion

1 red chili

1 tsp. each ground turmeric and cumin

1 tbsp. tomato puree

1 garlic clove

250g spinach leaves

½ 400g tin chopped tomatoes

1 thumb-sized piece root ginger, peeled and minced

Oil spray

Salt and pepper to taste

200ml water

Directions

Step1: Slice the onion and chili. Grind the garlic clove. 

Step2: Heat oil sprays in a frying pan and cooks the onion until soft. Add ginger, garlic, and chili. Cook for  3-4 minutes.

Step3: Add tomato puree and cook for 1 minute.

Step4: Add the chopped tomatoes, ground turmeric, and cumin and for 5 minutes.

Step5: Add the water and the chickpeas then cook for another ten minutes (dry the water)

Step6: Add the spinach and cook for just a minute or two to wilt and then serve

3-White Beans And Spinach Recipe 

Ingredients

1 tsp olive oil

1 garlic clove

1 cups baby spinach

1/2 cup canned white beans

salt and black pepper

1/8 tsp cumin

pinch chili powder

Directions 


Step1: In a large skillet, heat the oil and garlic over medium-high heat for about 30 seconds.

Step2: Add the baby spinach, beans, cumin, and chili powder.

Step3: Stir constantly until the baby spinach fully wilts and the beans cook through, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

4-Spinach and squash curry

Ingredients

1 onion

400g tin chopped tomatoes, most of the juice drained

Oil spray

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp. curry paste of your choice

200ml water

1 butternut squash

200g baby spinach

Directions

Step1: Slice the onion and peel off the butternut squash also chope it

Step2: Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion to soften for 5-8 minutes.

Step3: Add curry paste and cook for 3-4 mins.

Step4: Add tomato, squash, and water. cook it for at least 15 mins.

Step5: Add salt, pepper, and spinach and cover it.

Step6: Wait until dry water. Your healthy spinach recipe for weight loss is ready to eat.

Spinach soup for weight loss

1-Thick & Creamy Spinach Soup

Ingredients

Oil spray

1 onion

2 garlic cloves

½ tsp. grated nutmeg

Salt and pepper to taste 

500g baby spinach leaves

1 potato

450ml stock ( as per your taste chicken or vegetables)

550ml skim milk

Directions 

Step1: Peel the potato and chop it into cubes. chop the onion and grind the garlic cloves.

Step2: Add oil into the pan and then add onion fry it until softened

Step3: Now add garlic cook for 1-2 mins.

Step4: Add the potatoes after a few seconds add the stock and let it for 10 mins.

Step5: Add  half spinach and the milk then cook for another 10-15 minutes 

Step6: Put it into the blender and also add the rest of the spinach, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Blend it until smooth

2-Healthy spinach soup

Ingredients

2 teaspoon oil

Bay leaf (1)

Garlic cloves (6-7 and minced)

1 finely chopped onion

250g spinach

3/4 cup of milk(low fat)

Black pepper powder(1 teaspoon)

Cinnamon powder(1/2 teaspoon)

Directions

Step1: Take oil in a pan then add Bay leaf and garlic. Saute it for 1 min.

Step2: Add 1 finely chopped onion Saut well and wait until it turns translucent.

Step3: Now 250g spinach. Mix well and add 1/4 cup of water. Cook for 2 mins. Turn off the flame

Step4: Transfer it into the blender and blend it (remove the Bay leaf)

Step5: Pour this mixture into the hot pan and add 1 cup of water also add milk

Step6: Now add black pepper powder and Cinnamon powder

Step7: Add salt to taste and mix it well

Step8: Wait for 5 mins. Turn off the flame. Your creamy and tasty soup is ready

1 handful baby spinach

1 oz greek yogurt

1 tbsp almond butter

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

3/4 cup water
