Soya chunks for weight loss

Soya chunks are made up of soy flour. After extracting the soyabean oil they are the byproducts. It is used as meat due to its high protein content. It is easy to cook and used for a weight loss diet.

25-30g soya chunk in a day is beneficial for health. This amount of soya chunk will not increase the estrogen level in the body. It will also not increase the uric acid level in the body.

Soya chunks recipes for weight loss

Soya Manchurian 

Ingredients

3 tbsp Corn Flour

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Onion powder

1 tsp Garlic powder

Oil for frying

1 1/2 cups Soya Chunks or Soya Nuggets

3 tbsp All-purpose flour (Maida)

For the Sauce

2 tbsp Soya Sauce

1 tbsp Oil

1 tbsp Garlic cloves finely chopped

2 tbsp Chilli Sauce of your choice

1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

1 tbsp Ginger finely chopped

2 tbsp Onions finely chopped

4 tbsp Tomato ketchup or sauce

1 tbsp Cilantro or coriander leaves finely chopped

1/2 to 1 tsp Red chili powder or paprika (optional)

2 tbsp Green onions (spring onions) finely chopped

1/2 tbsp Green chile finely chopped

Instructions

Coak the soya chunks or soya nuggets in warm water for 10-15mins.

After that soaking time remove the excess water and squeeze it

Now add corn flour, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and mix it well

Heat the oil in the pan and fry these chunks on low flame until become golden

Transfer to the paper towel

For sauce

Heat oil into the pan and add garlic cloves. Saute t for a minute

Add onions, spring onions, ginger, chile. Saute for 3-4 mins.

Add vinegar, chili sauce, ketchup, chile powder, soya sauce, cilantro, and mix till combined on high flame.   

Cook on a lower flame for 1 min. and add fried soya chunks

Soya Chunks Cutlets 

Ingredients

100 grams soya chunks

4 Mushrooms finely chopped

3 tablespoons sweet corn

1 green chili finely chopped

10 grams of ginger

1 teaspoon Mint leaves

3 bread multigrain

salt to taste

1 tablespoon oil for shallow frying      

2 tablespoons coriander leaves finely chopped    

Instructions

Soak the soya chunks into the hot water for 30 minutes. Remove the excess water and squeeze it

Now put these soya chunks into a blender jar and add mushrooms, ginger,  corn, green chili, coriander leaves, mint leaves, salt to taste, and blend everything to a coarse paste.

Transfer this paste to the bowl.

In another jar break bread into smaller chunks and make fresh bread crumbs.

Add these bread crumbs in soya chunks and above paste. Make soft dough

Shape these in form of round cutlets. And once again roll these cutlets with bread crumbs.

If you want crispy cutlets firmly press the bread crumbs around these soya cutlets

Heat the oil in a pan and fry these cutlets on medium flame 

When golden brown from one side then flip it and fry the other side as well 

Serve this delicious protein-rich snack of soya cutlet with tomato ketchup

Chilli Soya Chunks 

Ingredients

1 onion

1tsp of ginger and garlic paste

300g of soya chunks

1 yellow bell paper

4 Mushroom

1/2 of cumin paste

1/2 coriander paste

1 tsp of turmeric

1 tsp red chili powder

1tsp of red chili flakes

1 spring onion to garnish

salt to taste

3 tbsp ketchup

3 tbsp of soya sauce

oil

3 tbsp of cornflour

2 tbsp plain flour

Instructions

Wash the soya chunks and boil in hot water. After boiling  remove the excess water and squeeze it

Now transfer chunks into the bowl and add 1/2 ginger and garlic paste, turmeric, salt, chili powder, cornflour, plain flour, and 1/2 tsp soya sauce. Marinate for 40-45 mins.

Heat oil in a pan and add remaining garlic and ginger paste saute it for half min. Add mushroom, yellow pepper, and onion. Cool for 2 mins.

Now add 2 tbsp of soya sauce, ketchup, red chili powder, red chili flakes, and water. Cover it and simmer for 1min and add 1 tbsp cornflour paste.

Fry the soya chunks in another pan. After that transfer chunks into the gravy and garnished with sliced  spring onion

Soya Chunks Soup

Ingredients

4 soya chunks

1 carrot, julienne sliced

1 potato, cubed

½ red bell pepper, sliced

1 cup vegetable stock

1 cup heavy cream

2 garlic cloves, sliced

1 onion, chopped

1 teaspoon turmeric

0.5-ounce ginger, thinly sliced

Instructions

Boil the water into the pan and add soya chunks. Boil for 12-15 mins.

Take out and sliced into small cubes.

Heat the oil in a pan and add soya chunks, fry for 2mins. 

Add onion, ginger, and garlic. Season with salt, pepper, and turmeric. Cook for 2-3 mins.

Add 3 cups of water into the pan and boil it. Now add carrot, potato, and vegetable stock. Cook for 20mins. 

Add cooked soya and cream. Season with pepper, salt, and leave it for 3-4 mins.


Soya chunk meal for weight loss

Ingredients

Broccoli: 100-150 grams

Olive oil - 1 tsp (optional)

Soya Chunks: 100 grams

Hung Curd: 1cup

Instructions

Take warm water to a boil and add soya chunks along with salt. Soak it for 10 mins then squeeze extra water

Take little oil into the pan and heat it. Add soya chunks along with broccoli florets. Saute it for 2 mins. and transfer into the bowl

Add in hung curd and give a gentle stir so as to fully coat the two ingredients. (Don’t add salt or pepper for seasoning)
